Fellowship

“And they devoted themselves to…fellowship…” (Acts 2:42)

“…so that you may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.” (1 John 1:3)

MEET AND GREET

The Meet and Greet is a wine and cheese gathering held in the fall and the spring as a special event at Church of the Holy Communion. This is an opportunity for the church and school families and members who have joined and/or visited to come together and get to know one another. The clergy, staff, vestry and other leaders within our church look forward to this event in order to get to visit with the attendees in an informal way . Childcare is provided, so that the entire family and friends may attend.

PARISH DINNERS

Our Hospitality Committee organizes our parish dinners which are held periodically throughout the year.  We gather for fellowship, dinner, and some sort of program.  Everyone brings a covered dish to share.

TABLES OF EIGHT

A Dinner Club which meets on a monthly basis at local Dallas restaurants.  The group members change each month and each group is assigned a captain who is in charge of coordinating with the members of each team.  The Dinner Club is led by Amy Brady, Sherry Caudell and Monica Dalton.

THEOLOGY ON TAP

A group of men who meet one evening a month in or on the patio of Lunt Hall for a friendly and stimulating discussion on theology over a beer.  Dinner is incorporated into the meeting and the men are encouraged to bring a meat to grill and a side dish if they feel so inclined. Grill is ready to cook at 6:30 pm. Bring a friend or neighbor.

WOMEN, WINE, AND WISDOM

Similar in format to the men's fellowship above, the ladies of CHC gather on the 3rd Tuesday of each month for Biblical teaching, fellowship, and drinks. More information will be posted soon for this HCW sponsored fellowship.

MOVERS & SHAKERS POTLUCK

On the 4th Sunday of each month the Movers & Shakers sponsor a potluck meal and fellowship. They gather at 11:30 am in Miller Hall. This is a full family event that hopes to encourage the families of the parish to bond and grow as God's family here at CHC. Everyone brings something "potluck" to share with the whole group. To be added to the message list for this fellowship contact Father Chris Woodall.
