Welcome to Church of the Holy Communion. As a female member you are also a member of Holy Communion Women (HCW), which plays a vital role in the life of the Church. We invite you to become active in this vibrant group, which plans programs, activities, projects and fundraisers for our Church family and for the community.

HCW is self-funded by proceeds from The Silver Chalice, our outstanding gift shop, as well as by annual events such as the Annual Bake Sale in November. We are active in the community through our participation with the following groups:

Collinwood Care Center We supply toiletries and clothing for residents with special needs. Hope's Door A shelter for abused women and their children. We pay for monthly cleaning supplies, muscle power for building needs, as well as clothing and furniture. Prayer Shawl Ministry We provide comfort with shawls during difficult times.

Internally, HCW supports the annual Lenten Soup Suppers, Prayer Retreat, Habitat for Humanity, Holy Communion Christian Academy (HCCA), special events and Counterpain. We gather together as a group twice a year with outside speakers: for a luncheon in September and a special tea in May. In addition, we hold an Annual Women's Retreat in the fall.

No matter what your interest -- whether it is volunteerism in the community or being active in our Church -- there is something for you in HCW. It's a great way to get to know your fellow parishioners and have fun in the process. We hope you will join us!
