Trinity Sunday

May 31, 2026    The Rt. Rev Dr. Charles Camlin

This Trinity Sunday homily connects Isaiah’s vision of God’s throne in Isaiah 6 with the Church’s worship in Holy Communion. The prophet hears the angels cry, “Holy, holy, holy,” a song that the Church joins whenever she celebrates the Eucharist, confessing the glory of the Holy Trinity. Confronted by God’s holiness, Isaiah recognizes his sinfulness, yet God cleanses him with a burning coal from the altar and commissions him for service.
