The Fifteenth Sunday after Trinity
Sep 28, 2025  •  The Rt. Rev Dr. Charles Camlin
On the Feast of St. Michael and All Angels, we’re reminded that angels are not just messengers or guardians—but worship leaders who help us adore God. In the liturgy, we join them twice: in the Sanctus (“Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts”) and the Gloria in excelsis (“Glory to God in the highest”). These songs unite heaven and earth as we gather around God’s throne in the Eucharist. The angels’ worship teaches us awe and reverence, and their message of peace sends us forth to proclaim Christ’s redemption to the world. Let us, with angels and archangels, lift our hearts in praise to the Lord of heaven.
