The Sixteenth Sunday after Trinity
Oct 5, 2025  •  The Rt. Rev Dr. Charles Camlin
St. Paul gives us a glimpse of God’s great “fixer-upper” project—our transformation. Like an old house restored to beauty, our souls are being renewed by the Holy Spirit who first took residence in us at baptism. Through His Word, God strengthens our inner life, roots us deeply in His love, and lays a firm foundation of faith that can withstand every storm. The goal of this divine renovation is nothing less than to fill us with His fullness—to make us like Christ Himself. Though the process takes time, God’s power is limitless. The same Lord who turns sinners into saints will one day complete His work in glory. Until then, we are called to trust His plan, walk in His Word, and let His Spirit shape us into His image.
